Job Summary/Basic Function:

Faculty will be the course director of an elective and/or core MPH course, advise graduate students and supervise their culminating experience projects, administer the Practice Placement of MPH students (internship of the MPH program), and participate in the educational, research, and service activities of the Department of Population & Public Health Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications

MPH, MSPH or a Master’s degree in a public health discipline; and experience in public health and/or program administration. Ability to direct the practice placement of MPH students, including community relations, placing students in practice placement settings, monitoring of practice placements, and student advising. Ability to teach and supervise graduate-level students; ability to work with a multi-disciplinary teaching faculty; ability to work in a collaborative, multi-organizational academic setting; & ability to work independently. Must be interested in promoting the public health profession and public health practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Formal teaching experience, and/or certification; experience in grant writing; additional education in population based health; additional education in a public health discipline; ability to participate on a research team conducting population health research; proficiency in a statistical program.

Special contract terms and conditions of employment only. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
