Job Summary/Basic Function:

Teach undergraduate and graduate students in both classroom and clinical settings.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned Master’s in Nursing and doctorate degree by start date. 2 years nursing experience. Clinical area of expertise in medical-surgical, OB/GYN, or pediatric nursing and currency of practice. Ohio nursing license earned or eligible prior to start date.

Associate Professor: Established record of scholarship with 3-4 peer-reviewed publications and at least 1 funded grant. Professor: established record of scholarship in addition to those used to achieve Associate rank; in addition, scholarly activities involve national reputation established by presentations at regional, national and/or international venues, publications and funded grants.

Preferred Qualifications

An established record of scholarship and teaching experience in undergraduate/graduate education.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

1. Teach undergraduate and graduate students in both classroom and clinical settings. (60%)

2. Scholarly and creative endeavors, including research, publications, and presentations. (20%)

3. Academic service at the college and university levels, as well as service to the profession. (20%)
