Job Summary/Basic Function:

To direct all phases of a competitive Division I softball program.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.
Two years coaching experience as head or assistant coach at the collegiate or professional level and/or Division I playing experience and/or professional playing experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Essential Functions and percent of time:

50%: Teaching and coaching student-athletes in order to develop and acquire the extensive tactical, technical and physical knowledge that’s required to be successful at the intercollegiate level and beyond.
30%: Administration of the softball program including budget management, fundraising, summer camp administration, team travel arrangements, scheduling of competitions, traveling with team, and staff development.
10%: Ensure the softball program, including all staff members and student-athletes, is in compliance with NCAA, Horizon League and University regulations which includes the monitoring of the student-athletes academic progress to maintain their academic eligibility.
5%: Working with training staff relative to the health and safety of the student-athletes.
5%: Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
