Job Summary/Basic Function:

Assist advancement department with administrative needs for the Wright Rural Health Initiative (WRHI).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of fundraising experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices associated with fundraising or business development.
Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
Work well individually and in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills & attention to details.
Ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to handle complex and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education or business.
Ability to participate in evening and/or weekend work-related activities.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

Assist the resident programs and academic departments in identifying alumni and securing up to date personal and business addresses needed to contact them about becoming a volunteer for the WRHI. 60%

Increase awareness and donations to the WRHI. 20%

Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):

Coordinate a special event annually ensuring that students have an opportunity to thank donors and for the administrators to thank WRHI volunteers. 10%

Non-Essential Functions and percent of time:

Other duties as assigned. 10%

Working Conditions

Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of the contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
