Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate $14.91/hr.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

To investigate new fission yeast mutants with defects in checkpoint signaling at perturbed DNA replication forks or fork protection under stress.

Minimum Qualifications

1) Research experiences in Cell/Molecular Biology, Protein Biochemistry or Genetics with track record of publications.
2) MS degree in Biological Sciences
3) Applicant must have the required degree at time of applying.

Preferred Qualifications
Essential Functions and percent of time:

(1) Construction of plasmids and yeast strains.
(2) Analyses of the mutants’ genetic interactions.
(3) Microscopy assays.
(4) Protein purification and biochemical analyses.
(5) Data analyses, reading literature, and writing reports

Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is three years, renewable, contingent upon funding.
