Job Summary/Basic Function:

Responsible for the operations and administration of articulation and transfer policy of the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network. Provides direct support to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Articulation and Transfers/Executive Director of the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network with the implementation of the Department of Higher Education goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D or Ed.D Degree and five years of experience in higher education, enrollment management, and articulation and transfer
Project management experience

Essential Functions and percent of time:

40% Consult and collaborate with faculty and campus administrators, as well as with faculty review panels, to address their needs and reach the articulation and transfer goals. This includes providing assistance in course submissions, reviews, and revisions, as well as managing the composition of and giving training to faculty review panel members. This position manages the review process for 57 Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGs) including various education pathways and numerous Ohio Transfer Module (OTM) courses. There are close to 410 faculty members involved and 58 faculty leads. Most of faculty are volunteers with a few paid positions. These leaders and faculty are at the center of Ohio’s credit transfer system. The position also coordinates the development of learning outcomes for new Transfer Assurance Guides and Ohio Transfer Module courses. All the tasks are completed through coordinating/supervising staff and consultant work, and communicating via e-mail, phone calls, webinars, and in-person meetings. Current initiatives that are of priority are the Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGS), General Education Conversation, the Ohio Transfer Module Learning Outcomes and Courses, Advance Placement Policy, Military Credit, College Level Examination Program Policy, Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways, Ohio Mathematics Initiative, For-profit Institution Transfers, Three plus One Conceptual Models, and the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Policy Manual. Supervision of staff.
35% Implement policies and procedures: Work with faculty, campus administrators, and professional organizations in helping them understand articulation and transfer policies and procedures; Attend meetings and prepare and give PowerPoint presentations; Draft documents for new policies and revise and update the current policy in consultation with the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network Oversight Board. This is done through email, phone calls, webinars, and in-person meetings.
15% Serve on project teams; Work as a team with other articulation and transfer staff and consultants on various initiatives; Represent Associate Vice Chancellor at meetings and events; other related duties as assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Articulation and Transfer.
5% Conduct up-front intelligence and ongoing research on new initiatives.
5% Troubleshoot and communicate issues related to articulation and transfer by responding to daily concerns regarding issues related to policy and articulation and transfer electronic tools.
