Job Summary/Basic Function:

The School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) at Wright State University (WSU) is seeking outstanding applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in our APA-accredited doctoral (Psy.D.) program. The position is available to start as early as July 1, 2018. This position is a renewable annual contract, pending funding.

The successful candidate will join a diverse and innovative faculty who are active in teaching, service, practice, and scholarship. Applicants must have a commitment to graduate instruction and training effective clinicians, well informed by psychological science. We are a generalist program, areas of specialty remain open. However, assessment and child/adolescent experience are priority areas for this position. Academic teaching areas could include, but are not limited to, integrative assessment, cognitive assessment laboratory, interviewing.

Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program.
Must be licensed in Ohio within three months of hire.
Experience providing evidence-based interventions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Broad assessment experience and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Working Conditions

Professional office environment at the Duke Ellis Human Development Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Typical work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Some evening work hours may be required. Periodic travel to the main campus in Fairborn, Ohio will be required.

Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
